SRHR for all: Representing marginalised youth at the NGO CSW

Make Way recently attended the NGO CSW with one of the Make Way Uganda youth representatives, Nakigudde Hannah Margaret. With Hannah currently pursuing her master's in Women and Gender Studies and as a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, women and youth empowerment, the NGO CSW was the perfect space for her to further deepen her knowledge and represent youth voices. We sat down with Hannah to learn more about her experiences and key takeaways at the forum.

On November 11 and 12, we hosted an interactive online masterclass, ‘Advocacy for policies with a human face: Explore how you can do policy analysis from an intersectional perspective.’ With participants from diverse sectors, we explored practical tools and strategies for integrating intersectionality into lobby and advocacy efforts to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

UN Civil Society Conference: Improvements in youth representation but lacking SRHR

The UN Civil Society Conference brings together civil society organisations, as well as key stakeholders to discuss the pressing issues of our time - acting as a precursor to the Summit of the Future. Voices from the Pre-Youth SDG Summit on Intersectional Engagement

Youth participants of the Make Way programme in Zambia, convened earlier this month at the Pre-Youth SDG Summit Event on Intersectional Youth Engagement to collectively voice their aspirations and concerns as young changemakers in Africa. CSW68 and NGO CSW Forum: A Personal Reflection on Advocacy and Collaboration

It was an action packed week filled with joint advocacy work, our own Make Way webinar session about access to healthcare for all and meaningful participation of youth delegates.
